Morning kirtan at the puspa-samadhi

The 2010 Mayapur festival for Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja's disappearance was very sweet this year. Although it was not nearly as well attended (due to the change in the schedule of the GBC meetings), the mood was very intimate and devotional.

The flower decorations and prasadam was superb. A highlight this year was the feast. 70 devotees were invited, and we had enough prasadam we felt for 100. Much to our surprise 250 devotees showed up! Somehow (partly by the mercy of a few devotees who quickly went and collected some prasadam from several kitchens around Mayapur) we were able to feed everyone.

A number of senior devotees attended and either spoke or listened, including HH Umapati Swami, HH Rama Govinda Swami, HH Bhakti Brhat Bhagavata Swami, HG Hari Sauri Prabhu, HG Padmanayan Prabhu and others.

Our thanks to Pradosh Prabhu, Suprasad Prabhu, Bhagavan Prabhu, Gunarnava Prabhu and all of the devotees who worked hard to organize everything, as well as the many devotees who generously donated for flowers and prasadam.
